The One with the Rescue

Tomorrow night I'm speaking to our middle school students because Brooklyn is out in the luxurious Tulsa. If you're bored and would like to watch our live broadcast of our service it begins at 7:00 PM and I'll be speaking around 7:20ish...Eastern time...or just for fun 6:20AM in Bangladesh. You can check it out on one of my previous blog posts by clicking HERE

My whole talk is revolves around the idea of our need to be rescued. Rescued from circumstances, situations and just the messiness that we find ourselves in time and time again. Where it is like quicksand and the harder we try to get out, the more we get stuck, but the minute we ask for someone to rescue us we are able to be freed.

Our theme verse for the year is Psalm 91:14-15. Where God promises to rescue us.

One key point is that the way He chooses to rescue us doesn't always look like what we think it should look like. Sometimes things get harder than we would like. Sometimes we have to face the consequences of our actions.
